Showdown Throwdown

This is the game I am currently and actively working on. I want to get a version of Samurai Jetpack done before Louisville Arcade Expo (at least a demo). I also need something in my portfolio that shows I can do networking and is actually playable. So The goal is to have two versions of this game: one that is local multiplayer and one I release on steam and does networked multiplayer.

Features

Maps

A procedurally generated map seems like somehting that will look good in my portfolio so I'm going to do that. I want it to be generated by a seed so everybody gets the same map and the map would change once a week.

1-4 Player

Playable solo, with a teammate or in a 4 player free for all. The arcade cabinet will have four screens, there will be a networked version for at home play (PC, Mac, and maybe console) that will offer both networked and couch multiplayer.

Seven Samurai

Seven different characters for the players to choose from, all with different stats and attacks.

Showdown!

This is a feature from Samurai Jetpack, when two characters attack at the same time they will be transported from the main map to showdown mode where there is a timer of sorts and whoever hits the attack button first wins the showdown and goes back to the game while the loser faces a respawn.

Two ways to win

Teams or individuals can either eliminate the enemy team or defeat the boss and bring the sacred scroll from the boss area back to their extraction point.
